What’s Inside
Eleven modules, four pillars
Nothing here is filler. Every module exists because a lead who doesn’t have it will eventually lose the room — or lose someone in it.
The science of contrast
- Thermal physiology — what heat and cold actually do to a nervous system
- The Soberg protocol, heat shock proteins, and why order and duration matter
- The difference between a stress that builds capacity and one that just costs you
Your scope as a lead
- What you are responsible for, what you are not, and how to tell in the moment
- Where a lead's job ends and a clinician's begins
- Holding that line without making anyone feel turned away
The language of connection
- Nonviolent Communication as a working tool, not a theory
- How to speak to a room in real discomfort
- Listening for what someone isn't saying — the connection is the medicine
What protects a room
- Safety protocols, screening, and contraindications
- Sequencing, and the calls you make before anyone gets in the water
- What to do when something goes sideways
The Credential
A real credential, started today
Finish the coursework, pass the knowledge exam, and you earn REV-1 Foundations.
The Knowledge Exam
Everything the modules cover: physiology, scope, protocols, and the calls you’d have to make on the floor.
What It Qualifies You For
A grounding in the method you can bring to any room you already lead. It is not, on its own, certification to lead as a Revivery Method instructor.
What it is, and what it isn’t
REV-1 Foundations is its own credential, and it is the beginning. It says you understand the method, the science, and your scope — a foundation you can carry into any room you already lead.
It does not certify you to lead as a Revivery Method instructor. That requires REV-1 in person: three days in Tampa, the live practicum, and the certification that follows. The Revivery Method is taught and assessed in the room, and there is no way around that — which is the point of it.
Two Ways In
They work together
Foundations gives you the complete groundwork, from anywhere. Tampa gives you three days in the room, hands on the practice, with a cohort. Neither one is the consolation prize — and because Foundations is also the coursework every Tampa student does before they arrive, starting online doesn’t cost you anything. It just means you start now.

The same people who teach the room
Annette Scott leads every REV-1 cohort in Tampa. Nothing here is outsourced or narrated by someone who has never led a session.
“We’re teaching you how to listen with your posture, your words, and your smile — how to reframe a question, and how you listen to the question. All these pieces come together to convey that degree of safety and attention.”

Foundations, answered
No. Foundations earns you the REV-1 Foundations credential — the groundwork of the method, and a genuine foundation you can bring to any room you already lead. Certification to lead as a Revivery Method instructor comes from REV-1 in person: three days in Tampa, the live practicum, and the certification that follows. The method is assessed in the room, and that part can't be done from a screen.
Yes. Foundations is the coursework every REV-1 student completes before they get to Tampa. The difference is that you can now take it on its own, earn a credential for it, and decide about the three days later. If you enroll in a Tampa cohort, Foundations is included — you won't pay for it twice.
No. We teach the science from the ground up. What matters more is whether you're the kind of person others settle down around, and that isn't something a résumé shows.
The REV-1 Foundations credential and a real working grounding in the Bio/Psych/Social Method — the science, your scope, and the thinking behind a safe room. It's a foundation you can bring to any room you already lead. It is not certification to lead as a Revivery Method instructor; that comes from REV-1 in person.
No. CEUs are awarded for in-person certification only, and there's no online path to them. If CEUs are what you need, go straight to a Tampa cohort.
Yes, and it's the most common path. Your $295 credits in full toward Tampa, so doing both costs exactly what Tampa costs on its own — $1,270 early bird or $1,495 standard. There's no penalty for starting online, and no expiry on the credit.
Not for Foundations — they're a recommended addition rather than a requirement, and they'll deepen everything the course covers. They are required for REV-1 in person, and Tampa tuition includes all four with reading guides.
